As its name suggests, the primary focus of the Cornerstone Prayer Ministry small group is prayer and praying. Currently, there are four faithful members who come together every Tuesday evening at the church (7 p.m. to 8 p.m.) to discuss and share prayer "reports" and review how prayer is affecting different ministries within the church, personal life situations, and other circumstances of daily living. In addition, group members search the Bible and study relevant scriptures to discover, examine, and analyze the fundamentals of prayer and praying. The group also reaches out in prayer by participating in the Prayer Walks that are sponsored by Macland each month.

When asked why she wanted to start this type of small group, Camille says, "Coming together and praying with the church creates a sense of unity among believers. Personally, this is essential in and for my relationship with God. Through prayer, the finite and infinite collide and create a continuous flow of God's infinite power, tender mercy, and undeniable grace in the lives of His children. As such, I am continually changing day by day, evolving into a being that recognizes that I am a part of Him - truly loved and accepted - despite all of my insecurities, doubts, and short-comings. I want to share that experience with others, and I hope those in the group will see their own spiritual lives strengthened because of the time we spend studying prayer and praying."

Although the Cornerstone Prayer Ministry small group is quite new, the group is already discussing extracurricular social activities for members and additional outreach programs in which to become involved. Camille says she hopes to include a variety of projects and get-togethers for the members as the group grows and becomes more firmly established in purpose and principle.

The Cornerstone Prayer Ministry small group is open to anyone, and Camille invites and encourages all who feel led or drawn to pray to come and join the group and experience the life-changing power of prayer.
