"This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." (1 John 1:5-7)

Friends Eating and Sharing Together. FEAST groups are a way for a group of seven or eight
people to gather in homes four times a year (or more) to share a meal and fellowship. Each time, one member
of your group hosts the meal and provides the main course. The rest of the group each bring a different part of
the meal. Then you all sit back, eat good food, and enjoy good company! This is a great way to really get to know
your fellow church members! New FEAST groups will be forming in January, so watch the bulletin and
newsletter for more information.
is a group of adults over 30 looking to enjoy cultural arts activities, day trips, and joining friends
in fund. The group plans monthly outings on the Macland bus.
Backpacking is an opportunity to cleanse the emotional and spiritual soul by witnessing the
grandeur of God's creation. Instead of fighting traffic, you deal with crossing streams, viewing vistas that stretch
for miles, inhaling the purest cool morning air and developing of lasting friendships by the warmth of an open fire.
These experiences provide an unexplained spiritual connection with nature and the sense that there is
something else, something we can't see, at work on our body, mind and spirit. Trips occur in the spring and fall
for three days and two nights.
Macland has a variety of sports teams and anticipate adding more once the gym is
completed.
Taize is a contemplative service of silence, prayers, and Taize chants. Meets the first Monday of each month at 8 pm in the Sanctuary.
What is Prayer Walking? Just like it sounds, it is praying while walking - intercessory prayer “on location” in our community. It engages all of your senses: sight, sound, smell, touch - you pray with your entire body, not just your mind. Join us the second Saturday of each month (weather permitting) as we go out to nearby neighborhoods and schools to pray. We meet at the church at 8:00 am and are usually done by 10:00 am.
